Primary Care

Primary care is the day-to-day health provided to you by a healthcare provider. It is your main source for regular medical care, providing continuity and integration of health care services. Memorial Physician Services' family physicians, pediatricians and internists practice primary care.

Our goal is to provide you with safe and timely care. In response to COVID-19 precautions, we’ve adjusted our care approach beyond in-person office visits. Our expanded telephonic and telehealth visits increase access to your care provider – all from the safety and comfort of your own home.

We understand that in-person visits are often necessary. When your provider needs to see you face-to-face, we’ve adopted new processes at our clinic sites to ensure your continued safety. Here’s what you can expect:

  • All patients will be required to wear masks upon arriving at any Memorial Health System facility, and will undergo a health screening, including a temperature check, before entering.
  • Over-the-phone or in-car registration when available.
  • Drive-thru or drive-up laboratory services.
  • Dedicated respiratory care screening clinic for individuals with respiratory symptoms.

It’s the same great care, same great people, provided with your safety in mind.

Advantages to Primary Care

Preventive Care

The goal of primary care is to provide you with preventive and curative care over a period of time and to coordinate all the care you receive.

Care Coordination

Your primary care provider acts as the first contact and principal point of continuing care for you within Memorial Health System. He or she will coordinate other specialist care that you may need.

Health History

Primary care doctor offices are often the first stop for medical treatment. The advantage to seeing your primary care whenever possible is your complete medical history will be in front of the doctor to assist with diagnosis.

Familiar with You

Over time, your local doctor will get to know you and be able recognize signs that indicate a potential change in your health.
