About Us

Community Benefit

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the health of the people and communities we serve. We live out that mission in countless ways. We recognize our responsibility for providing quality healthcare, regardless of one's ability to pay. Our clinics provide important and meaningful resources to help ensure that those who are without health insurance receive the care they need when confronted with illness or injury.

We recognize that there are unfortunate occasions when patients are not able to pay for their medical care and are not eligible for federal or state medical assistance programs. Through our financial assistance program, the clinics provide financial assistance to patients unable to pay for their medical services.

Giving Back to the Community

We also return benefits to our communities through a multitude of educational efforts and research projects. Some of these include our leadership participation in health fairs, summer camps and community health education. Many of our clinics host physicians/medical students, nursing students, technicians, and other health professionals. Several of our physicians serve on community boards including the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, Logan County Health Department, Morgan County Health Department, and Sangamon County Medical Society.

For the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, 2016, Memorial Physician Services returned $2.6 million in community benefits.
